Technology Case Study: Disruptive HR technology that focuses on the core employable element – skills

Disruptive HR technology that focuses on the core employable element – skills
Context Our Work
· A large US based financial services firm encountered some challenges whilst staffing talent for new clients

· On the one hand, there were too few talented people who had the band width to be allotted new projects and on the other, they didn’t want to keep hiring new people for the assignments

· Their current HR systems did not readily solve this problem leading to additional load on their Human Resources team.

· We studied how they were assigning talent to projects and their workforce planning and finally customized a technology solution that allowed managers to quickly look up key skills within the organization, identify availability and reach out to those shortlisted candidates and their managers

· Not only was this simpler and quicker, it also led to unlocking opportunities for talent within the organization, thus, reducing attrition

· Ultimately, it meant employees were acquiring and updating their new skills because they realized that there were enough opportunities to grow within

· Our cloud based, multi device and truly integrated workforce planning tool helps put two key constituents in touch with each other – business managers and talent

Results: The HR technology application cut decision making time by 85%, reduced the hiring budget and had the added benefit that the client did not need to incur new capital expenditure. As an aside, long term effect was the beginning of an open, transparent culture.
